Experts say that one of the keys to fitness is finding an exercise program that you can stick with. That’s a moot point to the members of the Long Blades Club, an ice-skating group whose members measure their participation in decades, not just years.
We’re talking six, seven, even eight decades in some cases. Member Caroll Etter is considered a latecomer because she didn’t start skating until she was 50.
“That was 33 years ago,” she said in her defense.

]]>Featuring live organ music, always indoors skating (you won’t freeze your feet or nose off), plenty of fabulous snacks and coffee, and the most meticulously groomed ice, the weekly skating is open to adults and is a fun, energizing session.
Experience the friendships, fun, and comraderie for yourself! We skate on long blades at Aldrich Arena every Sunday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and also every Thursday from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Skating is $5.00 for the session and if you wish to become a member of the Aldrich Long Blades Club, our annual dues are a bargain at $8.50 a year (this even includes two free skating sessions)!
